**About the role**

In collaboration with the Head of Financial Crime & Payments Compliance & Assurance and the team, the AML Compliance Specialist will help us deliver the Transformation Program of Work to uplift the scalability of critical AML systems and processes.

This role will contribute to the development and implementation of robust operational procedures into the AML Operations Team including change management and training.

This role will also provide input into the ongoing Quality Assurance and Controls Assurance Program of Work following the implementation of systems and processes delivered through the AML Transformation Program of Work.

The AML Compliance Specialist is accountable for:

- Delivering transformation-based program of work to uplift the scalability of critical AML/CTF processes and controls
- Delivering a “line 1” assurance program of work assessing and formulating opinion (i.e. controls testing) over the health and performance of our controls to meet our obligations under the AML Act & Rules and AML/CTF Program
- Identifying, designing and implementing business process and system optimisation to ensure the Function is performing at peak today and prepared to accommodate future growth
- Supporting the design and implementation of solutions to meet regulatory changes, internal and external audit findings and compliance incidents.

Key Skills and experience required:

- AML/CTF Experience encompassing risk assessments and control design and optimisation or operations (OCDD, TMP and ECDD)
- Strong data literacy, including ability to develop and/or mine customer and transaction data pertaining to AML/CTF
- Strong written and verbal communication including being confident to articulate an opinion or provide direction
- Plans, organizes and prioritizes tasks to manage workload and complete all requirements
- Proactively tackles problems and opportunities, generates solutions and commits to action consistent with available facts
- Focuses attention on meeting the needs of all customers and ensure customer satisfaction
- Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
