**The Role**
The Logistics Governance Officer will work within the Contract and Governance Cell with JLU (E)-W. This currently a team of two. The position provides an opportunity to deliver logistic governance and contract support to our Industry Partner within a warehouse and distribution environment utilising your expertise, knowledge, integrity and skills within an integrated work environment.
The Logistic Governance Officer will be required to conduct a range of functions including but not limited to, logistic assurance audits for a range of warehouse and distribution processes, inventory management, contract management including KPI reporting, and customer liaison with internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to organise your workflow to meet deadlines, make decisions within you parameters relating to you area of responsibility, undertake research and investigation activities and assist to develop local procedures.
**About our Team**
The Joint Logistics Unit (East) - Williamtown Detachment forms part of JLU (E) and is responsible for the operation of the Warehouse and Distribution contract at RAAF Base WLM. Our direct Headquarters are located at Moorebank, Sydney and we are one of five detachments forming JLU (E). More broadly, we are a part of Supply Chain Brach, Joint Logistic Command.
The JLU (E)-W is an integrated team, comprising of military, APS and Industry Partner employees who are dedicated about supporting the Air Force and ADF capability. The team is made up of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skillsets and experiences, all brought together by their ambition to support the work of the ADF.
JLU (E)-W provides support to numerous military and contractor entities with ongoing warehouse and distribution support throughout Australia.
You'll work directly for the unit Governance and Stock take Manger and alongside RAAF Personnel and Industry Partners.
The right person for this role is able to contribute effectively within a small logistics team and with internal Industry/Partners external stakeholders.
You will use your initiative to make informed decisions and solve problems. Be able to identify risks and issues and communicate these clearly to others.
You are able to respond, under direction, to changes in stakeholder needs and expectations to achieve team outcomes.
