As our new Electrical Designer, you’ll be a vital part of the team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable.

Your role will include:

- Working on EIC designs across a variety of projects with the help of Senior and Lead designers.
- Ability to work autonomously and develop detailed designs from preliminary design inputs, taking ownership and responsibility of EIC design components.
- Readiness to help drive and improve internal practices and standards.
- Knowledge of industry drafting software packages.
- Familiarity with Global Design Centres and the ability to communicate and share work across a global engineering firm.
- Understanding of the constraints typical in a consulting industry.
- Ability to work within schedule and budget constraints and manage competing project priorities.

We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.

As well as experience in a similar civil engineering role.

Specifically

Required:

- Associate Degree / Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 2+ years’ experience in the resources & manufacturing industry.
- Experience in MicroStation & AutoCAD software would be desirable.
- Exposure to the design of key deliverables (SLDs, schematics, terminations, loops, block diagrams, general arrangements, etc)

Preferred:

- Previous Experience working with offshore design centres.
- Smart EIC Design Tool competency (e.g. Bentley Promis-E, Elecdes ).
- Willingness to work remote from the home office (eg, on site or other Aurecon offices).
