**Job Description**:
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an IT Operations Manager that is responsible for the delivery of IT Business as Usual (BAU) activities that are essential for the sustainable operation of illion systems, both customer-facing and internal systems.
- IT Operations Managers are key members of the team, who lead the delivery of BAU activities across the IT organisation.
- Plan, manage, coordinate and drive delivery of outcomes, while also ensuring work is completed to the required quality standards. Typically, this involves bringing together a variety of specialists from across the IT organisation, including Cloud Engineers, Wintel Engineers, Network Engineers, Desktop Engineers, Security Specialists, Application Developers, Testers and Systems Analysts to work cross functionally to deliver required outcomes in full and on time.
- Review and analyse the outcomes of work performed to identify discrepancies, investigate anomalies and report status and findings.
- Identify and facilitate the removal of roadblocks

**In this role, you will also be required to**:

- Manage routine BAU Operational Activities scheduled to occur and are planned in a calendar
- Planning and facilitating Server vulnerability patching events, Desktop patching, Asset reconciliation and reporting.
- Organise and coordinate Penetration Testing (PenTest)
- General Operational Management including**,**:

- Compiling regular management status reports on the status of BAU activities (progress against schedule) and any BAU issues (eg: system outages, detections of non-compliance, audit issues.)
- Managing BAU changes (eg: Rollout of new procedures, tools, operating models or coordination of logistics to delivery an outcome on a BAU piece of work.)
- Developing and maintaining process documentation.
- Ensuring staff are trained in following procedures.
- Work is rotated among the IT Operations Managers in the team from time to time, to avoid key person dependencies and provide opportunities for learning and career development.
- May also be required to support or manage production technology incidents occasionally. (i.e. incident management and post incident reviews

**Qualifications**:

- Broad technology domain knowledge ang broad knowledge of operational technology practices.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms and solutions, ideally Azure.
- Exposure to could platforms and solutions, such as Azure ideally and AWS, in an Operations Management context.
- Prior experience working in a technical role such as a Wintel Engineer, Network Engineer, Security Engineer or Application Developer role.
- Prior experience creating and managing Power BI dashboards and reports.
