**About the Role...**
The Manager - Risk and WHS leads a passionate team to facilitate the achievement of the City of Playford’s WHS commitments by establishing and maintaining a structure that provides for a pro-active and collaborative culture where safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Organisational Development the position is accountable of the following portfolios:
- Risk Management
- Work Health and Safety
- Insurance Management
- Crisis Management
With a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes, the position will create and maintain an engaged and connected team environment to deliver services across the organisation through a partnering approach to ensure actions and outputs meet customer needs whilst maintaining legislative and internal control obligations.
The position will also work across the Organisational Development Department to support key department initiatives as required.
Incumbents in this position are required to possess or be willing to gain a National Criminal History Clearance.
**About You...**

You will possess demonstrated experience working in a similar position or in a WHS and Risk Management environment providing high level specialist advice. Experience in leading a team is a must, in particular where you have coached and developed members of your team to support their success and effective service delivery.
Fostering a culture of safety amongst staff at all levels is a passion, along with your enjoyment of building strong working relationships with key stakeholders. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor your message to support others to understand and interpret legislation.

Whilst relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, Commerce, WHS or a related discipline is highly desirable we welcome applicants with demonstrated experience in a WHS and Risk Management environment or similar role.
