Our Federal Government client is seeking an
**Assistant Director** to support the delivery of the strategic approach to branch engagement.

**About the role**:

- Contribute to the strategic direction and forward planning of the property and branch
- Develop briefs, submissions, correspondence and media material for the branch
- Develop and implement robust quality assurance strategies, policies, and guidance material
- Deliver secretariat support to several departmental governance forums and property-related projects
- Develop internal communication material to increase awareness and support branch messaging
- Provide strategic advice and assistance to senior executives and stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal and external key stakeholders to identify opportunities and achieve outcomes
- Provide leadership to property and security branch staff

**Ideally you will have**:

- Ability to operate under limited direction, with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability
- Ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills
- Communicate in plain English and employ well-developed interpersonal skills
- Lead, coach, and support staff

**Desirable**:
A comprehensive understanding of:

- The structure and business operations of the agency, including strategic objectives, priorities and risks
- The Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, and associated rules
- The Commonwealth Property Management Framework
