Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities? SAGABOL Disability Service Pty Ltd is seeking experienced and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses in Redbank Plains and Regents Park.

**Position Overview**:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with their daily living activities, personal care, and community participation. Your role will involve working closely with clients to ensure their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Personal Care**:

- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers as needed.
- **Daily Living Support**:

- Help clients with meal preparation, household tasks, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Encourage and support clients in developing independent living skills.
- **Community Participation**:

- Facilitate and support clients to engage in social, recreational, and community activities.
- Promote inclusion and participation in the community.
- **Health and Wellbeing**:

- Administer medications as per care plans (if required).
- Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behaviour.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care and progress.
- Follow organisational policies and procedures.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work collaboratively with other support workers, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in disability support or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of NDIS principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).

**Desirable Skills**:

- Experience working in SIL environments.
- Knowledge of complex care needs and behaviours of concern.
- Proficiency in using care management software.
