**The Company**

Our client is a highly regarded player in the FMCG space and are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for driving improvements across one of their key manufacturing facility based in north west suburbs of Melbourne.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Site Manager your focus will be on:

- Instill a safety first culture where all employees are empowered and clearly demonstrate safe behaviours.
- Develop and implement incident investigations and problem solving processes for production and quality related issues through sophisticated problem solving tools such as 5WHYs.
- Fault find and Identify key areas of improvement within manufacturing plan for example; operational employee training standards, efficiency in planning/ scheduling, review and implement SOP’s and CI platforms across the department, build a plan for future 5’s projects to drive a LEAN methodology.
- Drive 5S business project through managing individual projects and educating culture change within the production department.

**Your Background**
- Proven success leading a team within a manufacturing facility in a Production Management role, ideally from Chemical, Food or Beverage industries.
- Ideally Chemical Engineering background.
- You will have proven experience driving modern manufacturing techniques with a true understanding of 5S, LEAN as well as 5 Whys.
- You must have strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate your staff to consistently meet and exceed expectations whilst providing a fun and safe environment.
