Therapeutic Youth Worker

**_We are currently offering Casual opportunities based in Campbelltown, Theresa Park, Picton, Wilton and Surrounding Areas. You need to be Flexible to work days, nights, weekends and sleep over shifts._**
- About the Role:_
- You’ll be more than just a Youth Worker. You’ll be a mentor, a role model, and a change-maker. You’ll play a key part in helping youth overcome challenges, building their confidence, and guiding them on their journey toward a brighter future._
- You will provide trauma-informed services that achieve positive outcomes for young people and their families. You will offer young people safety, stability, predictability and consistency by implementing the house guidelines and supporting the implementation of individual strategies and case plans. As well as participate in team meetings, house meetings and case review meetings to ensure that young people receive services that meet their needs._

**_ What Your Day Would Include:_**
- Mentor and engage young people, guiding them through life skills development and personal growth.
- Role model positive behaviors, emotional intelligence, and social responsibility.
- Empower youth by encouraging their active participation in decisions that impact their lives.
- Provide hands-on support with day-to-day tasks like meal prep, shopping, and housekeeping to ensure a safe and stable environment.
- Collaborate with a vibrant team to tailor services that meet the specific needs of each young person.
- Safeguard their wellbeing by reporting any concerns to ensure they’re safe and supported.

**_ What You Bring:_**
- You’re passionate about supporting youth and ready to make an impact. Whether you have previous experience in youth services or are eager to start your career in this field, we want to hear from you. You bring:_
- A Diploma in Community Services or Youth Work or a related field Minimum Cert IV in Youth & already working towards completion of a diploma.
- Demonstrated experience in youth services or residential care.
- A deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and a commitment to cultural competency.
- A trauma-informed approach to working with young people facing significant challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and support youth effectively.

**_ Must Have or Wiling to Obtain:_**
- Valid and Current Driver's Licence
- Valid and Current Workers with Children's Check
- Valid and Current NDIS Workers Screeners Check
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (Mackillop will pay for this to be completed)
