We are currently seeking a proactive and conscientious Payroll Administrator to provide support to the Payroll team as part of the People and Transformation Office at Bethanie. Reporting to the Payroll Services & Implementation Manager, this role is offered on a fixed term basis for a period of eight months to cover a period of leave.
In addition to the day to day processing of payroll and employee records you might expect in this role, you’ll be joining the team during a period of exciting change as we transition to a new HR platform. Therefore adaptability and resourcefulness will be at the forefront of your skillset
The successful applicant will work 22.8 hours per week across three or four days, with flexible / hybrid working arrangements supported, including working from home. The preferred roster would provide coverage across Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays however this is negotiable for the right applicant.
**About You**
- Ability to provide accurate customer service and support processing of payroll and related HR functions
- Previous experience working in a payroll, data-entry or similar environment would be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise a demanding workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
**The Role**
- Act as the first point of contact for employee payroll related questions
- Input new hires, terminations, allowances, deductions and other changes into the payroll system
- Maintain and update employee records and confidential data
- Assist the Senior Payroll Officer with payroll processing as required, including processing manual pay adjustments and preparing reports
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Support the Senior Payroll Officer and the Payroll Services & Implementation Manager in projects and initiatives
