**About Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA)**
VARA operates out of Perth Airport and has a fleet of F100 and A320 aircraft that predominantly conduct charter operations throughout regional Western Australia.. VARA is on a growth path and has a strong focus on supporting our major clients in the mining industry - the future is exciting
**What you’ll be doing**:
Reporting to the Program Director and the EGM of VARA, the Program/Project Manager role for VARA will lead the entry into service of a new jet for our charter business in all its aspects from aircraft introduction to the readiness of all involved business units (Flight Operations, Engineering, Cabin Crew, Safety/Regulatory, Change, Communication and all other affected areas).
**You’ll be great in this role if you**:
- Have 5 + years Project/Program Manager experience working on a similar project
- Can work under pressure and manage multiple conflicting priorities
- Come with strong analytical skills
- Have a demonstrated ability to build trusted, effective on-going business relationships at all levels across the organisation
- Are a natural at interpreting complex data, and draw, visualise and present recommendations to stakeholder groups
- Can confidentially lead discussions and meetings with senior management, including “C” Suite
- Can use state-of-the-art project management methods and tools
- Understand airline/aviation industry fundamentals
- Know the key regulatory landscape and/or capability and willingness to acquire this knowledge
- Understand risk and change management in a highly regulated environment
- Have tertiary qualifications in business, aviation, engineering, or other relevant courses
- Have a PM certification (desirable)
