**About Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA)**

**About the role**:
As the Project Technical Pilot, you will drive the successful and seamless integration of the E190-E2 fleet into VARA AOC. You will ensure compliance with Part 121 operations and policies, while leading the development and implementation of essential operational documentation, driving the project forward.

In addition, you will be responsible for establishing safe and efficient performance of the E190-E2 fleet, and to support Flight/Cabin Crew through technical procedures and policies. You will be based in Perth and report through to the VARA Head of Flight Operations/Program Manager.

To excel in this role, you will leverage your extensive flying experience as an operational pilot, holding a CASA ATPL (A) in Air Transport Operations and a valid CASA Class 1 Medical.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Act as the SME for all technical aspects of the E190-E2 fleet to support aircraft delivery.
- Develop and implement operational documentation within project timelines to support the E190-E2 entry into service.
- Ensure consistent, safe, and efficient fleet performance while providing technical support to Flight and Cabin crew through policies and procedures.
- Provide fleet-specific information to the Training team and Flight Technical department.
- Ensure the successful introduction and implementation of systems, documentation, and processes for the new fleet, particularly as the first of its type in the business.
- Ensure successful alignment with VARA policies and procedures while maintaining OEM standardization and delivering quality outcomes within tight timelines.

**You’ll be great in this role if you have**:

- Detailed knowledge of VARA operations manuals.
- Working knowledge of VARA SMS and safety management standards.
- Check and Training experience in a Part 121 Air Transport Operation (current or previous).
- E190-E1 or E2 Type Rating.
- Ability to work creatively in a constrained environment where “best practice” and maturity is still evolving.
- Strong ability to remain focused on delivering to the plan but remaining flexible and adaptive to change as required.
