**About the role**:
We have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic individuals who have a genuine passion for working in an educational environment and are committed to delivering exceptional care and support to students and teachers alike. You will have the rewarding responsibility of working with vulnerable students between the ages of 5 and 13. This unique role allows you to make a significant impact in their lives, fostering growth and development in a classroom setting.

The position offers a **Monday to Friday **schedule. Totaling 30 hours per week, with a **start time of 8:45am** and **finish time of 3:30pm** You'll start your day at 8:45am and conclude at 3:30pm, ensuring a well-balanced work-life routine. Our school is conveniently located in the vibrant community of **St Albans**.

Our organisation is focused on providing support and mentoring to the successful trainee as well as providing on the job training for 12 Months. **About you**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to follow instructions from teachers as well as use initiative
- Compassionate, caring and patient
- Capable of providing physical and emotional support to students
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Willing to attend RTO/TAFE training **located in Deer Park** during school holidays
- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check
- Able to commit to a 12 month Traineeship

**What you will do**:

- Assist and participate in activities which improve the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of children in schools and preschool centers
- Prepare indoor and outdoor areas for learning or recreational activities
- Assist in supporting children with intellectual, physical and behaviour difficulties
- Assist children individually to learn social skills
- Assist with the preparation of teaching aids
- Distribute and collect lesson material
