**The Opportunity**

Sands Fridge Lines are currently seeking IMMEDIATE STARTS for people to work in our Yard / Receivals Team. You will be required to load and unload stock and pallets to and from trucks joining our afternoon shift team.

Sands Fridge Lines is family owned business, a leader in Refrigerated Distribution and Cold Storage in Western Australia with expansive cold and dry storage facilities and a large fleet of commercial vehicles servicing the diverse needs of our customers located both within the metropolitan and regional areas of Western Australia.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Yard / Receivals Forklift Operator to join our Forrestfield team.

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Receiving frozen, chilled and dry products
- Manual staging of consignments and checking goods prior to loading ensuring they are correctly packaged, allocated, staged and there is no damage to goods or packaging
- Loading Tautliners and flat bed trucks
- Use of manual pallet jacks to assist in loading and unloading pans and moving products for storage
- Cleaning and housekeeping
- Ad-hoc duties as required

**To be successful it is essential that you have**:

- Experience in loading and restraining freight on Tautliners
- Transport yard experience in Freight receivals and truck unloading - experience mandatory
- Minimum 2 yrs Forklift License and forklift driving experience
- Experience in a cold store environment advantageous
- Experience in staging and loading refrigerated pans advantageous
- Understanding of food safety handling and quality control
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently, correctly and systematically in accordance with procedures and standards
- Ability to understand and follow procedures and instructions
- High attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritise workloads
- Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute positively to the team
- Strong work ethic, reliable, punctual and have a "can do" attitude
- Ability to read and write English accurately
- High level of personal hygiene
- High level of fitness to undertake repetitive manual tasks
