The Merchandise Services team is responsible for ensuring that our range and selection continues to remain fresh and relevant to our customers. The team is committed to delivering the very best range of brands and exclusives, across David Jones at competitive prices to enhance the customer's experience.
**_ What _**YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE**
- Identify and manage appropriate replenishment parameters across a wide variety or product types categories.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to create optimal demand forecasts that maximize results through replenishment and align with the merchandise strategy.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the merchant strategy, product expectations and order generation process to ensure order results align with the buyer's expected outcomes.
- Proactively seek opportunities to drive replenishment and improve item performance.
- Perform analysis and influence decision-making to improve replenishment sales and inventory results that complement the total assortment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in applicable systems, including replenishment, item planning, reporting and division-specific tools.
**_What _**YOU’LL NEED TO THRIVE**
- Have demonstrated experience in retail merchandise Planning and Analysis, Inventory Management or equivalent required.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Statistics, Management Information Systems or related field.
- Possess strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in basic statistics.
- Have experience supporting high sales volume categories (high SKU count, heavy seasonality, high revenue preferred.
- Have a demonstrated ability to work alongside a range of key senior stakeholders in order to achieve business outcomes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple forecasts across categories and timelines
- Possess Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
