**The Role**
The Provider and Program Performance Branch is looking for Data Analyst at the APS5 level.
Workforce Australia is Australia’s suite of employment support programs, which is currently assisting over 800,000 Australian job seekers to find and maintain employment. Workforce Australia brings with it a range of interesting analysis and performance challenges.
The Provider and Program Performance Branch is responsible for the development, reporting and on-going analysis of performance measures across multiple performance frameworks that support the suite of employment support programs that fall under Workforce Australia. Further, the Branch manages the performance framework policy for Workforce Australia and conducts licence and performance reviews. The Branch regularly works with internal and external stakeholders to support and assist departmental objectives and provide insights on the overall performance of Workforce Australia.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS Level 5 may include:
- Use your specialist technical and/or statistical skills to conduct complex analysis of employment service program data, develop performance measures and conduct data definition and derivation activities.
- Develop and deliver reporting products to assist with the dissemination of performance information to various internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and contribute to written material, including official performance briefs, technical specification and process documents, analytical reports and governance papers.
- Liaise with business areas to understand specific business requirements and the intended use of the performance measure, report or analytical product.
- Assist senior staff to manage data and performance related projects.
**Qualifications and Education**
- Essential - tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, science, mathematics, psychology, demography) or equivalent workforce experience.
