In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia are currently seeking **Food and Beverage Supervisor** to join the team at **Victoria Barracks** located in Southbank on a full-time basis.

As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day Mess and Bar operations, and associated front of house personnel, to ensure efficient service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the Mess Committee and Defence Force Members to ensure hospitality and catering requirements are understood and service standards are consistently met.
- Support the Hospitality and Catering team by consistently delivering a friendly, helpful and professional service to all customers.
- Develop rosters and coordinate staff, ensuring adequate support is provided for all meal services, bar services and functions.
- Regularly inspect all Mess areas, including outdoor BBQ areas, ensuring they are maintained, clean and presentable, and all required repairs and maintenance are reported.
- Prepare end of month reports and statistics as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager.

**What you’ll need to be successful**:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising food and beverage service.
- Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
- Food Safety for Supervisors certification (training provided by employer)
- Knowledge or understanding of Defence Force operations, systems and functions desirable
- Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service.
- Computer Literate - Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Insight IMS (or similar integrated management system).

You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check.
