**The Opportunity**:
As the Group Manager of Public Cloud at Monash, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our public cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure. This position involves leading, inspiring, and directing a team of IT professionals who support the University's critical enterprise ICT systems. You will focus particularly on enhancing our Public Cloud presence and ensuring robust cloud security through the design and maintenance of advanced landing zones.
- **Deep Technical Expertise**: Possess a thorough understanding of public cloud architectures and security concepts. You will need to demonstrate expertise in strategically and operationally managing our cloud platforms on AWS and Azure, maintaining large-scale cloud solutions, and developing technology roadmaps that align with Monash’s strategic goals
- **Leadership and Development**: Lead, develop, and motivate a diverse team of IT professionals across all levels of technical, service, and managerial skills. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through infrastructure as code, automating repetitive tasks, optimising workflows, and accelerating service delivery using DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
- **Stakeholder Management**: Employ strong stakeholder management skills coupled with exceptional consultative and negotiation abilities to understand business needs and drive ICT-enabled business process reforms effectively. You will be expected to influence, negotiate, and prioritise effectively with diverse stakeholders while maintaining a high level of customer service and management
