**About the role**:
Join a team that’s committed to ensuring a safe environment for our people to be the best they can be. Reporting to the National Safety Manager, you will champion safety across our WA and SA Officeworks teams.

Coming off our safest year to date and awarded Best Mental Health Program & Best Wellbeing Program by the National Safety Council of Australia (NSCA) this is a great time to join.

This is a newly created role, to support our WA and SA teams to educate, improve and drive a strong safety culture making sure our team members leave work the way they arrived.

As a Safety Partner, you will provide expert advice on risk mitigation strategies, OH&S performance improvement to stakeholders at all levels, implementing National Health & Safety programs, policies and educational programs for the overall prevention and control of hazards in our business aligned to our Stay Safe Strategy.

You will:

- Influence managers, business partners and team members to drive a Switch On safety culture with a focus on prevention of incidents in the business
- Implement and facilitate training to all key stakeholders at store based and local community level
- Work collectively with other Safety Partners in the business to ensure best proactive and continuous improvement by delivering strong strategic plans
- Compile and report on OH&S and incident trends in safety performance
- Ensure that National Health & Safety policies are implemented and monitored
- Assist the National Safety Manager to implement the national safety strategy and related projects.

**About you**:
You are an expert in your field having worked within a similar role ideally in a multi-site environment. You are proactive and solutions focused with a current understanding of legislative requirements along with a passion and commitment to safety.

In addition, you will have:

- Extensive knowledge in OH&S, with 4+ years’ experience in a similar style role along and be tertiary qualified in OHS/HR.
- You’re an excellent communicator. You have experience coaching and leading teams around HR/health and safety issues and with the ability to influence
- Previous experience working in a multi-site environment, retail or manufacturing is desirable but not essential
- You have strong reporting and analytical skills; you feel confident presenting to a large group of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of contemporary wellbeing factors and know how to educate others on these
- Due to the nature of this role, a valid driver’s license will be essential for travel in between stores and fulfillment centres
