Then the Energy Resources of Australia (ERA) Ranger rehabilitation project is what you’re looking for

After more than 35 years operating as a successful uranium mine, the Ranger Project is entering its rehabilitation stage and offers an exciting opportunity for you to make a positive impact on the environment.

ERA has engaged the global engineering firm, Bechtel, to support ERA as Delivery Partner for ongoing study work.

Bechtel will be working alongside ERA and major stakeholder Rio Tinto to restore the land to the status of its surrounding World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park. A collaborative project, this project will be developed in consultation with the Mirarr Traditional Owners and will benefit the Jabiru community.

Located 8 km east of Jabiru and 260 km south-east of Darwin, the Ranger Project will lead the way in the fast-growing area of mining closures.

**Your Role**

Due to a growth in workload, Bechtel is seeking a** Planner** to be based working out of our **Brisbane office**. Working closely with Bechtel management and our client, as a** Planner** you will be responsible for schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities and planning tasks.

While there will be standard project organisational and administrative activities to undertake, we need you to be a natural collaborator, and someone who both enjoys and has demonstrated skill in identifying, assessing, and providing innovative solutions to planning and scheduling problems.

**Key Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to)**
- Provides supervision, technical and operational directions and assistance to assigned personnel in the development and integration of suitable individual schedules into the total project plan.
- Plans, coordinates and establishes the level of quantification appropriate to the objectives of the effort and to the level of scope definition for each discipline/specialty.
- Independently develops and maintains achievable, resource loaded, logic driven project schedules that integrate Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Start-up and/or Operations work scope into a total project plan that meets the project’s delivery objectives.
- Supervises the collection, verification and integration of work scope for all entities into the total project plan. Reviews the representation of project scope in schedules. Establishes the conceptual scope of schedule studies. Prepares and examines comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between the projects.
- Establishes productivity basis to be utilized in estimates, as developed in concurrence with Construction. Reviews labour estimates for reasonableness.
- Plans and supervises the effort to establish milestones for the project as required. Reviews project work activities and evaluates schedule durations for all disciplines’ activities to ensure the help of project milestones.
- Plans, organizes, and supervises schedule resource loading and levelling. Integrates appropriate staffing requirements for each discipline/specialty relative to the overall project needs.
- Works with all departments to ensure an understanding of the total project schedule needs. Responsible for total integration of schedule activities.
