**The Role**

Our Lithium Resource Development team is growing rapidly and seeking their next front-line leader to provide technical support and ongoing engagements with the Mt Marion Operational leadership team to ensure resource drilling scopes of work are aligned with project deliverables.

The Superintendent Lithium Resource Development is responsible for overseeing the execution of all Lithium Resource Development programs associated with the Mt Marion operations. You will drive the planning, scheduling and management of logistics, together with coaching and development of our site-based team.

This will be a hands-on position that will predominantly be a site-based role and reporting directly to the Manager Lithium Resource Development.

**Key deliverables**:

- Contribute to the work-related health and safety performance of all Resource Development personnel, contractors, visitors and stakeholders through:

- Assisting with the embedding of the Resource Development function and maintenance of systems and standards, including:

- Stringent data collection methodologies that provide inputs into the Resource Development drilling and model generation.
- Diamond & Reverse Circulation Drilling systems.
- Implementing effective data management and communication systems
- Contribute to delivery of planned business outcomes supporting the Resource Development at Mt Marion through monitoring and auditing performance, including:

- Warranting that there are clearly defined and effective geology processes in place under the guidance from the Manager Resource Development
- Assisting Geology personnel with developing high quality data inputs for Resource models to support the mine planning process;
- Assisting with the identification of technical opportunities, including:

- Maintain wide range of technical contacts;
- Maintain and improve personal technical skills and knowledge;
- Act as site contact for Resource Development programs to ensure value is generated from the programs in a timely and effective manner;
- Developing individual action plans derived from the Resource Development Plan for Mt Marion, including:

- Contributing to the development of the departmental business plan by identifying key initiatives and projects requiring completion;
- Communicating geology standards and their implications;
- Scheduling personnel activities to achieve the objectives of the plan;
- Scheduling improvement projects against plan;
**What you’ll bring to the team**:

- Tertiary degree in Geology and a Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the mining and exploration industry
- Experience with Lithium or gold commodity is highly desirable for this position.
- Strong understanding of diamond and RC drilling programmes in operating mines
- Skilled user of Micromine, Vulcan, Leapfrog, Arc GIS, Acquire or similar
- A natural leader who drives changes and holds teams accountable for delivery.
- Sound knowledge of safety and safe work systems in operating mines
- Strong problem solving, planning and analytical ability.
- Continuous improvement focus
- Very strong communication (verbal and written) skills
- Valid C Class manual driver’s licence
- Provide First Aid and 4WD course certificate
- ICAM Lead Investigators course
