Perioperative Service Manager

This senior role involves leading and guiding perioperative services to achieve hospital goals, enhance operations, adhere to budgets, and drive business growth.
The POSM will provide operational direction for all of peri-operative services to ensure safe, efficient and effective management of the department and coordinate the delivery of care that is evidence based. Be accountable and responsible for the effective management of human, financial and material resources and ensure customer service is maintained at optimal levels.
The POSM will participate business development to promote growth, help identify clinical areas for expansion and represent the hospital at external clinical forums ias required.
It will be both a ‘hands on’ and strategic role.
The POSM will work as part of the broader leadership team, adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures, participate in working parties or committees (as required) demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement including through National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards (NSQHS), Workplace Health and Safety and achievement of hospital / facility accreditations.
The POSM will actively manage WHS matters related to the unit to ensure staff safety and a secure work environment. They'll also uphold a professional growth portfolio, dedicated to continuous learning and development.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor of Science (Nursing)
Current practicing certificate
Post graduate qualification in relevant field of specialty Qualifications
- **Desirable**
Tertiary qualification in Management or Business
Human Resources Management or leadership experience of 3 years
5 years’ experience in Perioperative Services senior management
