One of our premium federal government clients are seeking to fill a requirement for multiple **Architect Positions **in **Canberra**. These positions will run initially for **12 months** with **2 x 12 month extensions**.

**Positions include**:

- Security Enterprise Architect
- Data Architect
- Business Architect
- Network Architect
- Enterprise Architect
- Infrastructure Architect

**Roles and Description**:

- Contribute to the development and sustainment of architecture governance models and frameworks to integrate and optimise new and existing technologies, and processes into an integrated environment that is supportive of the delivery of the business solutions and outcomesfor the department.
- Work collaboratively with enterprise stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions align with business requirements, ICT Investment Principles, ICT Architecture Vision and Cyber Security Strategy.
- Derive, review, interpret and respond to customer requirements to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current and future roadmap technologies.
- Contribute to the design and definition of High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Detailed Designs (DDs) for new or existing systems.
- Develop and maintain models of current and future state architecture patterns of defined/endorsed solutions.
- Formulate business cases for mitigation of capability gaps, considering cost, infrastructure, licensing, development and sustainment approach.
- Develop and/or provide input into ICT roadmaps, architecture, high-level and detailed designs for ICT infrastructure and environments in support of existing and new passport systems.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the development and implementation of modern ICT strategy, policy, architecture and solutions, taking an enterprise approach to technology design and use. With an ability to diagnose and analyse complex issues and identify strategic solutions and goals.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work across a broad range of ICT systems and technology domains.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and ensure architectural compliance internally and with whole of government initiatives and requirements and provide guidance to the executive regarding the impacts of adoption. Ability to liaise with industry, federal government counterparts and international organisations to identify opportunities in technology and processes.
- Highly developed leadership and management skills, including the ability to understand people, processes and technologies that comprise the enterprise system, and translate technical details to staff with all levels of ICT understanding.
- Strong planning and project management skills and the ability to translate strategic intent into a plan of work, and to be able to effectively monitor and report on deviations to plans and barriers to achievement.
- Capability to lead, set direction and monitor and assess progress against plans and objectives.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and evidence of being able to formulate, articulate and promote strategy, policy and supporting plans to diverse audiences at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and to senior/executive audiences.
