Lubrication Tech/handyman

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced **Lubrication Technician with general handyman skills** to join our maintenance team in a high-volume commercial bakery. This role is responsible for performing regular lubrication maintenance on bakery equipment and supporting general repairs and upkeep around the facility to ensure smooth production operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Lubrication Duties**:

- Perform scheduled lubrication of production equipment, including motors, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and ovens.
- Maintain accurate lubrication records and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.
- Monitor equipment for signs of excessive wear, noise, or potential failures.
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues and escalate when necessary.

**Handyman Duties**:

- Perform general maintenance and repairs across the bakery, including basic carpentry, painting, and grounds keeping.
- Support upkeep of internal and external facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional work environment.
- Assemble furniture, fix doors, windows, fixtures, and respond to repair requests.
- Assist maintenance team with larger projects or shutdown maintenance work.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience in lubrication maintenance, ideally in a food production or industrial environment.
- Current and valid forklift licence (LF class) with experience operating forklifts in a busy facility.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of industrial equipment.
- Ability to read maintenance manuals and follow technical procedures.
- Basic handyman skills across multiple trades (non-licensed).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and hygiene standards.

**Desirable Attributes**:

- Experience working in a food manufacturing or fast-paced production setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

**Work Environment**:

- This role operates in a large-scale commercial bakery with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required as per company policy.
