As a Journey Expert focused on Business Analysis, your main priority is to ensure that the Home Loans business area is effectively managed. This may require taking ownership of specific governance functions, working on an initiative or collaborating with a team of professionals who share similar skills to manage and coordinate essential activities that help us strike a healthy balance between delivering high quality customer outcomes with operating as a well-managed business.

Our Journey Expert roles offer you not only the flexibility and variety within the realm of Project Delivery, but also the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities outside of this domain. You may be asked to contribute your skills to other teams that support different aspects of the Home Loans business, providing you with a chance to develop a broader understanding of the industry and develop new skills. Rest assured that ongoing guidance and support will be provided as you take on these additional responsibilities.As a Journey Expert you will also be accountable for the following:
Gather and translate business needs into consumable requirements. This includes participating in elicitation workshops, analysis, specification and validation of requirements, as well as by understanding feasibility and potential impact
Identify and analyse impacted business processes, including understanding of as-is and to-be process to create new and update existing process maps where necessary using Signavio and obtain appropriate process owner approvals
Undertake analysis in collaboration with stakeholders to understand problem statement/s, to deliver and playback future state options where MVP / iterations have been defined
Source and utilise data to (in)validate assumptions throughout and after delivery. Seek guidance and support from Data Analysts, where required
Engage with stakeholder throughout the delivery lifecycle, sharing updates, seeking feedback and responding to feedback
Ensure potential and active risks and issues are captured, assessed, managed and mitigated in a timely manner
Work with squads and stakeholders to translate high level goals into detailed plans, business impacts, communications, Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and change interventions, then preparation and execution of those plans
Facilitate testing activity for your deliverables, such UAT, BVT, DRH
Create and maintain supporting materials; including but not exclusive to the collateral required throughout delivery e.g. Knowledge Management Guides, Process Maps, Business Impact Assessment (BIA), Operational Risk Assessment (ORA), Product Variation Document

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience across various delivery functions, such as business analysis, risk management and implementing change
Excellent interpersonal, active listening and influencing skills - you need to be comfortable asking questions, raising concerns, and constantly thinking about our customers
Proven experience in stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
Strong business analysis skills leveraging structured thinking, determining success measures through data analysis
An eye for detail - as a member of a team responsible for analysis and writing requirements, your willingness to iteratively improve precision and clarity is paramount
Familiarity with agile delivery, process mapping & business/technical requirements
Experience in translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
Ability to learn on the job, navigate through ambiguity and a demonstrated growth mindset
A passion for user experience in shaping solution design outcome
Ideally, exposure to home lending or related financial services domains and systems
Ability to develop training materials, document procedure guides, update collaterals and write communication
Ability to manage implementation and monitor pilot/roll out activities
