**The Role**
Are you looking for a leadership opportunity in a fast-paced unit that delivers big platforms on accelerated schedules?
Future Air Mobility Systems Program Office (FAMSPO) is one of Aerospace Systems Division’s ‘Future-Series SPOs’, responsible for the acquisition of air mobility capabilities that support combat, humanitarian, diplomatic and peace-keeping operations.
This position works at both the program level (providing guidance and assurance of project controls practice) and project level (providing project office management and leading project activities such as project administration, planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management as required) across our portfolio.
- Program performance analysis and reporting;
- Project Controls advice and mentoring;
- Workforce planning and reporting;
- Records, information and data management;
- Lessons learnt program management and change leadership;
- Program and project schedule management, integration and analysis;
- Project risk management;
- Project budget management;
- PPRIP/MRM reporting; and
- Assurance of project management artefacts.
You will lead and manage a team of project support officers, supporting their professional development and ensuring they gain experience and opportunities across FAMSPO’s portfolio of projects and program level activities.
Underpinning all of these activities is communication. You will be the conduit that drives efficient processes, effective governance, practical compliance, and most importantly, a respectful, productive and fun workplace. As such, you will be practicing your amazing people management skills daily.
**About our Team**
FAMSPO is an acquisition SPO delivering air mobility capabilities to support combat, humanitarian, diplomatic and peace-keeping operations.
Our projects provide Air Mobility capability to Air Force and have included C-17A, KC-30A, C-130J, Special Purpose Aircraft and Air Mobility Capability Assurance Program.

- Proven experience managing projects or supporting projects by providing project planning, administration and reporting; schedule development and analysis; risk management; cost analysis and financial management; project artefact development; and stakeholder management. Attainment of a Diploma in Project Management or equivalent or higher qualification is highly desirable;
- Resilient and adaptable to change and able to lead your team through curveballs and challenges with humour and grace;
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including high emotional intelligence;
- Able to influence, negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to identify best fit organisational solutions;
- Understands the ‘bigger picture’ to identify any emerging opportunities or threats in relation to your program of work;
- Able to guide, coach and develop less experienced personnel; and
- A team player through and through.
