Domestic Services Coordinator

**About the role**

Ventia’s Defence Base Services (DBS) team are seeking an engaging and supportive **Domestic Services Coordinator **for a full-time position based at RAAF Base Pearce in Bullsbrook. Primarily, this role acts as the first point of contact for all incoming cleaning enquiries, including assisting with administration requirements and accommodation management duties, therefore your strong skills in administration and time management will see you succeed in this role.

As well as accommodation management, this role is responsible for multiple Service lines to include Housekeeping, Laundry & Dry Cleaning and Sport and Recreation Management. Consequently, this may require you to step in and fulfil the duties and responsibilities that are required of your staff, from time to time. In addition, oversight of cleaning operations within some remote areas are also required to assist in delivering and maintaining an exceptional service for our client.

**About you**

Reporting directly into the Operational Services Manager, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills which makes you comfortable when dealing with a range of people at different levels both internally and externally and you are equally at home working in a secure environment.

You are a safety conscious supervisor who can motivate and ensure adherence to all applicable Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and procedures. You are accomplished at performing work at a supervisory level and inspiring others whether this is through inviting feedback, responding to concerns, conducting coaching sessions, demonstrating by example, keeping open and clear communication lines and being regularly involved in the day-to-day needs and operations of the business.

**Key duties, but not limited to**:

- Day to day management of approx. 15 staff including roster preparation and management
- Scheduling, reporting, audits, service orders & stock management
- Room Inspections (400+ beds)
- Responsible for safety and statutory compliance and prevention and promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace
- Subcontractor management
- Attending weekly/Monthly Client meetings
- Liaising/Assisting with Accommodation check ins/out
- Able to be hands on
- Experience managing small & large teams
- Effective communication skills and teamwork across all levels
- Some remote site travel required
- Other administrative and associated duties across miscellaneous service lines

**Skills & experience**:

- Previous experience in a similar role with sound knowledge of multiple service lines
- Defence or similar operational environment is advantageous
- Ability to interact effectively with technical staff, subcontractors, senior military officers and Client representatives
- Results focused with the ability to identify and prioritise problems and issues, generate solutions and work collaboratively to achieve a successful outcome
- Excellent time management skills and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Well-developed computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with SAP, DRN or Booking systems is advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience SAP, DRN or Booking systems
- Demonstrated ability to work alone, stay motivated and organise and prioritise competing demands and priorities

**Other special conditions**

The incumbent to this position must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of negative vetting 1 (secret). As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.

This position requires a National Police Clearance and hold a valid Australian driver’s licence.
