**Job Description**:
This a rare opportunity to join a high-performing marketing team, for a brand with passion, energy, and relentless drive to build the best restaurant company in the world.
Based in Surry Hills and reporting to the Global Chief Marketing Officer, the Head of Creative and Strategy plays a pivotal role in leading GYG’s creative strategy for national campaigns - The majority of which, roll out across Japan, Singapore, and the USA.
This is a senior, hands-on, and highly creative role requiring a mix of leadership, strategy, writing, graphic design, people management, and the day-to-day execution of campaigns and projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with both the Founder & CEO, Global CMO, and Marketing team to deliver creative that is strategic, innovative, and unique to GYG that ultimately delivers positive sales growth and year-on-year sales comps.
- Manage and lead a team of 6+ talented in-house creatives mentoring and developing their skills, strategic thinking, and career growth.
- Build strong working relationships with the Executive Leadership team, Franchisees, and the Hola Central (GYG HQ) team to develop stories that drive key business goals.
- Creative lead and brand custodian of all creative assets produced for campaigns and design projects. This includes launching new producs, restaurant openings, brand campaigns, merchandise, social media content, advertising across a range of OOH and digital channels, digital assets and internal comms.
- Work with the marketing team on the end-to-end development of brand assets. This includes preparing storyboards, writing scripts, shooting, producing, and editing video content, social media content, merchandise, graphic design and copywriting.
- Innovate GYG’s brand presense through strategy, ideation, story telling and culturally relevant conversations. Always ensuring all creative - including written, visual and video - is on brand and using our distinct tone of voice.
- Oversee all GYG photography and video shoots - this includes food photography, brand shoots, working with the CEO & Founder and creating video content.
- Liaise with GYG’s partners in Singapore, Japan & USA to provide feedback and clarity to ensure they are working to GYG’s brand guidelines and ensure we have a unified and global tone of voice
- Provide daily, weekly and real time reports and presentations that can be shared across the GYG network.
**Qualifications**:
A love of our food and brand is a great place to start. Apart from that, we are eager to find someone with:
- Extensive experience as a Creative Director or Strategy Director (either agency or client-side) working with well-known and emerging brands
- Extensive experience in leading teams, and managing timelines.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Proven history of developing unique and distinct, on-brand creative - Someone who pushes to do new things and forge the way for others.
- a burning desire to innovate, break new ground and take the GYG brand to new heights - Leading the global food space.
- Experience with telling stories across a range of platforms and an awareness of how they drive sales
- An always-on attitude with a positive and proactive mindset
- Strong strategic, analytical, research, and investigation skills and a proactive and inquisitive mindset
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills
- the ability to work autonomously and quickly adapt to changing requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management skills to build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Hands-on attitude and willingness to jump right into any task assigned to you
