**Your new role**

As the Facilities Officer reporting into the Facilities Manager, you will undertake minor capital works projects, assist with scheduled and preventative maintenance activities, and ensure assigned buildings, plant, equipment, and furniture assets are maintained to a high standard. Other duties will include:

- Participate in basic business cases and scope of works
- Assist in general maintenance (cleaning, painting, rubbish removal etc)
- Work with the Repairs & Maintenance Officer to provide general maintenance services
- Direct and escort external contractors around premises
- Administrative record keeping as directed
- Authorised to engage regular subcontractors during business hours up to 8 hours and $1,000 materials

**What you'll need to succeed**
- AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance
- Trade Certificate in a transferable field
- Experience to independently manage small works projects
- Strong skills performing hands-on building maintenance and repair works
- Basic understanding of budget management and forecasting
