We are seeking an experienced DC Operations Health & Safety Specialist who will support all DC’s in our Network including Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and Auckland, NZ.

Based at our DC in Brendale, Brisbane this role will be responsible for creating operational safety plans focussed on safety standards, measures and improvements. Partnering with the Group Safety team to align on key safety priorities and targets, this role then works closely with the business to design and deliver activities which support distribution centre leaders to implement meaningful and sustainable change, whilst coaching leaders to improve the effectiveness for risk controls and to drive health and safety performance improvements. Initially you will be expected to travel to all of our DC’s in Australia and NZ and then on a bi-montlhy basis.

**Some of the things that you’ll be doing in your role**
- Supporting the General Manager Operations & Continuous Improvement and partnering with Group Health & Safety leaders
- Designing and delivering safety action plans though the Distribution Centre network
- Actively partnering across all levels of the business to contribute to safety performance
- Promoting awareness of safety metrics to all levels, ensuring indicators of tracking to target
- Partnering with cross functional teams to deliver Health & Safety goals and objectives
- Supporting Incident Investigations and completing Risk Assessments / SWPs where required
- Identifies areas of risk and partnering with the relevant business leaders
- Supporting capability of business leaders in their awareness, adherence to, and delivery of safety standards and practices

**What are we looking out for?**
- Demonstrated safety leadership
- A Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety & a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Strong communication skills with and ability to communicate to broad groups of stakeholders at all levels, including executive level
- Experience building and executing training plans
- Experience with relevant WHS laws and regulations, including industry standards for retail
- Ability to work with, and communicate complex data
- Experience conducting safety investigations and risk assessments
