About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Supervisor - Project Maintenance (Landscape) based in Orange, NSW, to join our project delivery team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing the on-site execution of diverse landscape maintenance and construction projects.
Your primary goal is to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead and mentor work crews and Team Leaders, fostering a positive and productive work environment aligned with our company values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Maintain clear and effective communication with the Project Manager, crews, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders. Conduct site meetings and prepare progress reports. Resolve conflicts professionally.
- Planning & Organisation: Develop daily and weekly work plans, organise site logistics (materials, equipment, personnel), forecast resource needs, and schedule tasks effectively.
- Supervision & Management: Lead, manage, and motivate site crews and Team Leaders (Level 3 & 4). Coordinate and manage subcontractors effectively. Delegate tasks clearly and provide concise instructions.
- Execution & Control: Oversee all on-site project activities, monitor progress against plans, identify potential issues or delays, and implement solutions. Ensure adherence to project scope and manage onsite efficiencies.
- Safety & Compliance: Champion a strong safety culture. Conduct safety inspections, ensure compliance with all regulations, standards, and project specifications. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. Uphold quality assurance standards.
- Optimisation: Identify opportunities to optimise workflows, improve processes, and implement cost-saving measures.
About You (Essential Requirements):
- Proven experience in a Site Supervisor or similar leadership role within the landscaping, civil, or construction industries.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate teams.
- Strong understanding of construction / landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment operation.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
- Ability to understand project scope, identify deviations, and assist in the management of variations.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent forward-thinking skills to assist in managing efficiencies and minimising delays on site.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Competent in using computers and associated software.
- MR (Medium Rigid) Driver's Licence is desirable.
- Chemical Applicators Licence.
- Valid White Card (Safe Work NSW General Construction Induction Card or equivalent).
- Knowledge of relevant Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) for plant and equipment is highly desirable.
