Landscape/Construction Tradesman

Central Industries is looking for tradesmen to work on construction & shade sail projects in the Greater Sydney region and also across NSW and Australia.

Day-to-day work includes excavation, concreting, steel & timber fabrication, carpentry, landscaping, building and a variety of other skills. Experience in shade sail installation or structural landscaping would be highly regarded, however any background in construction and skilled labour is useful to our work. Our work includes manufacture and installation of bridges, shade structures, decks and a variety of other steel and timber structures.

An employee in this position would be expected to:

• Perform general manual labour tasks, installation & clean-up
• Operate machinery & equipment
• Assist tradespersons on-site
• Follow instructions from site supervisor/team leader/project manager
• Be proactive
• Adhere to safety guidelines and take reasonable care for the safety of self and others.

• Drivers licence class C as a minimum
• Physically fit, as the work can be demanding

• Construction, concreting or landscaping experience is an advantage but not necessary
• Living between Bathurst and Penrith is ideal, as we are based in Lithgow.

• Heavy vehicle licence - MR through to MC
• VOC for excavator, bobcat, crane, EWP etc.
• Experience in shade sail installation, or any form of structural landscaping
• Carpentry, Concreting or Building experience

Central Industries is a family owned and oriented construction business based in Lithgow. Our work is mainly concentrated in the Blue Mountains/Central West and Greater Sydney region, and cover a wide range of projects, including shade sail and structure installation, road and pedestrian bridge construction, boardwalks, jetties, footpaths, landcaping and other open space infrastructure projects. We also travel across Australia for various projects on a regular basis.
