Due to continuous growth, Datatel are seeking
** **qualified
** Communications Technicians** to join our expanding team for ongoing long term commercial contracts in the
**Perth Metro area**.

**Responsibilities**:

- Installing, testing, repairing, and commissioning of communications systems for commercial and industrial purposes, including fibre optics
- Complying with all reasonable instructions for safety and health
- Planning the layout of installations, install and repair wiring, communications fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment
- Testing of installations to ensure compliance and safety of components, using testing instruments
- Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
- Downloading of test results and photos
- Supervise and provide on job training for apprentices/trainees

**What will you bring**:

- Previous residential or commercial experience is highly desirable
- CPR/LVR within 1 year is desirable
- White Card
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Structured Cabling endorsements required
- Fibre Optic endorsements required
- Testing, fault finding and commissioning experience required
- Vendor endorsements highly desirable
- Cert III in Communications highly desirable
