- OT team remit includes selection, implementation, and support of data production systems and process control _
- systems (PCS), PCS and data standards, OT servers and network, OT cybersecurity, data systems and PCS stand-_
- alone projects and OT component of large projects such as new plants and expansions. _

**About the Role**

We are currently looking to appoint an IST Communications Technician to join the Operational Technology (OT)

team. The role will be responsible for maintaining physical technical aspects to ensure the operability of sitewide

fixed and wireless networks. Provide shift coverage for site communications and critical operational technology

systems on a 7:7 roster, working a roster of 7 days on, 7 days off (12 hours per day), with the weekly blocks

alternating between day and night shifts.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Level 1 support for:

- Wireless network failures, faults, and communication issues (LTE, P2P, P2MP, Wi-Fi)
- Fixed network failures, faults, and communication issues (fibre, copper, switching, routing)
- Fleet Management system failures, faults, issues (hardware and software)
- Autonomous Drill network communications (LTE, P2MP, Wi-Fi)
- Process Control System network issues
- Server and storage issues
- Digital Radio system issues
- Miscellaneous IOT device issues
- Escalate issues to relevant vendors in line with support agreements and agreed SLAs
- Assisting with vendor SLA tracking and reporting
- Coordinate or execute prescribed maintenance of supported systems
- Health monitoring of supported systems
- Coverage monitoring and mobile base station maintenance
- Coordinate or perform fibre termination & patching
- Configuration and installation of new or replacement network/communications equipment
- Managing external vendors and contractors
- Provide commissioning and project support for communications and technical systems
- Performing all work in accordance with Talison standards and change management procedures.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Able to work safely, following all relevant policies and procedures
- Able to operate independently, liaising with other people or teams as required
- Drivers Licence - current C class essential
- Previous experience with similar technologies
- Hands on exposure in communications and networking
- Proven analytical approach and demonstrated organisational skills
- Problem identification, triage, diagnostics, troubleshooting and root cause analysis investigations
- Strong written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Conceptual understanding of mining related systems such as Fleet Management and SCADA
- Proficiency in configuration and change management tools and processes
- Maintain positive vendor relationships and alignment with service level agreements
- Relevant qualification advantageous
