**Job Title**: Experienced Female Mental Health Support Worker
**Location**:Footscray and Surrounds
**Salary**: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour (based on experience)

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced **Female Mental Health Support Worker** to join our dedicated team. You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to women experiencing mental health challenges. Your role will focus on promoting independence, recovery, and well-being in a safe and supportive environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide emotional and practical support to service users with mental health conditions in supported accommodation or community settings
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal care (where required), and managing medication
- Promote independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion
- Develop and implement personalised support plans in collaboration with the service user and multi-disciplinary teams
- Monitor, record, and report on clients’ progress, wellbeing, and any safeguarding concerns
- Support clients in accessing health services, benefits, housing, education, and employment opportunities
- Promote a safe and respectful environment, maintaining professional boundaries at all times
- Assist in crisis situations, ensuring appropriate interventions and escalating when necessary
- Participate in team meetings, training, and reflective practice to maintain a high standard of care

**Requirements**:
**Essential**:

- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a mental health or related support role
- Understanding of mental health conditions and recovery models
- Experience developing and following person-centred support plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong record-keeping and administrative abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
- A Valid Australian Full Driver's License and reliable car
- Current WWCC and NDIS screen check

**Desirable**:

- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Certificate in Mental Health or Degree in Psychology)
- Experience with trauma-informed care or supporting survivors of abuse
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk management
