**Cyber Incident Management & Claims Lead - Pacific**
**About the job**
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Claims Consultant to join our Claims Advocacy team based in Melbourne or Sydney.
**What can you expect?**
- Build, develop, and deliver the regional iteration of the cyber incident management value proposition within the context of Marsh’s global cyber claims and incident management strategy, to include the following:
Pre-incident services
- Review clients’ incident response plans at a high level
- Provide policy onboarding at new bind/renewals, including the development and preparation of appropriate claims protocol documents
- Guide clients on vendor planning and selection
- Facilitate best practices workshops/trainings and other solutions to fill gaps in client preparedness
- Manage insurer claims team relationships and negotiation on vendor panels
- Ensure client understanding of relevant cyber coverage terms, limits and retentions and position claim for maximum recovery
- Facilitate discussions with insurers regarding specific coverage issues
During an incident, services from moment of intake
- Facilitate insurer notifications regarding cyber claims, coordinate stakeholder calls with client, vendors and carrier
- Advise on forensic, data restoration and other vendor services and use of internal versus external resources
- Facilitate insurer consents of vendor scopes of work, ransom payments
- Ensure insurer updates and responsiveness regarding development of cyber claim
- Guide client in preparing for business interruption claims and proof of loss deadlines, in coordination with appointed Forensic Accounting vendor
Post-incident services
- Facilitate recovery and remediation services and incorporate lessons learned into client incident preparedness and response plans
- Capture actionable, aggregate data for use by clients in future pre-incident planning and risk managements
- Feedback to insurers and panels on what works and what doesn’t
- Preparing various client targeted reports including claims trend analysis
- Work with Brokerage and Advisory leadership to define the remuneration model for complex claims services
- Showcase our capabilities externally by participating in RFPs and media engagements
- Contribute to timely thought leadership on cyber issues

**Skills and experience required**:
- A minimum of five+ years of Financial Lines Claims experience
- Compliance with Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Law or a related field ideal but not essential
- Strong interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus
- The ability to meet tight deadlines and successfully prioritise your work tasks
- A thorough knowledge of Word and Excel is essential
