About the Role
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) provides contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for the Safety & Quality Team within the Unit. The Safety & Quality team provides services across the expansive and complex Addiction and Mental Health environment. In collaboration with the Director, the role provides the coordination and responsibility for service delivery, human and material management, expertise in health care team communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision.
- Responsible for the achievement of operational safety & quality performance targets, evaluations and outcomes in line with operational plans, service targets and national and state benchmarks.
- Promote and support a culture of continuous quality improvement in line with nursing and organisational strategic direction.
- Lead, advise and influence, demonstrating integrity, transparency and accountability at operational, professional, policy, research and training levels.
