**The Opportunity**

The **Communications and PR Advisor** is responsible for the day-to-day management of public relations and communication advice, strategy and execution for G8 Education. This role will proactively manage internal and external projects, community partnerships and social ongoing communications activities, whilst overseeing integrated project and event management. Reporting directly to the Communications Manager, this role will be supported by a team of likeminded and collaborative professionals that that pride in what they do on a daily basis.

**Your day-to-day**

No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:

- Develop and implement G8’s communications strategy and build, maintain and service our national brand reputation across various audience and channels.
- Delivery timely and proactive strategic advice to our CEO, and wider Executive Team and build an integral partnership to advise on communication matters.
- Identify and optimise opportunities to protect and enhance G8 Education’s reputation.
- Ensure quality of all G8 Education’s public relations and communication materials
- Oversee and form part of the crisis management plan, and delivery effective crisis communication when required.
- Plan, and build reactive organisations internal and external communication that align to strategic goals and deliverables with the communication calendar and periodic events.
- Lead, grow and foster succession in the department and support the coordinator in various task.

- 3+ years’ experience in a PR and communications role ideally within a large-scale organisation.
- Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills for internal and external audiences, including outstanding copywriting, proofreading and ability to provide direction on design and production
- Proven record in developing and delivering integrated communications programs across internal and external audiences
- Experience in managing complex issues and crises
- Strong interpersonal leadership skills and project management
- Commitment to continual improvement of outcomes through ongoing evaluation and innovation
- Experience or ability to quickly embrace various communications platforms and technologies, including internal and external channels
- A team player with a strong desire to learn and grow and become part of a results-oriented team
- Flexibility to undertake domestic travel and out of business hours communications is required
