Aurecon’s Environment and Planning team have a strong capability from project planning and feasibility to construction on a wide range of projects across both Western Australia and Australia. You will play an integral part in a team that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across the built environment, transport, land and water, energy, and government sectors.

Our current committed and projected workload provides a unique and specific opportunity for a Contaminated Land Consultant, Scientist or Engineer to join the team in our Perth office. The role offers diverse, interesting, and challenging work with the opportunity to make your mark in a consulting environment with the support of a national network of passionate Environmental specialists.

Here are the key things you will do:

- Undertake field programs including premobilisation and safety planning.
- Develop Sampling and Analysis Quality Plans.
- Support fieldwork campaigns including soil, groundwater and surface water sampling, supervision of drilling, test pitting and groundwater well installation.
- Proactively engage with coaches and mentors to develop your technical skills and gain experience.
- Provide high quality analysis and reporting, to ASC NEPM requirements.
- Assist in developing reports to exceptional technical and editorial standard and the work collaboratively with the team to meet client expectations.
- Proposal and project support to the contaminated land team.

To be successful in this position you will have:

- Degree in environmental engineering or science disciplines.
- Relevant experience in undertaking contaminated land and/or groundwater investigations.
- A strong professional work ethic and commitment to health and safety for yourself, your team, subcontractors and clients
- Understanding of the Contaminated Sites Act 2003 and National Environment Protection Measures and other current and emerging Western Australian legislation, standards and guidelines for contaminated land.
- A desire to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Australian citizenship, or ability to obtain citizenship in future.
- Australian Defence Force baseline security clearance, or ability to obtain clearance.
- Current drivers license.
