About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an DDG CSI Support System Lead to join our DDG Combat System Upgrade project based in either Adelaide or Melbourne.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
You will be responsible for overseeing all tasks associated with the DDG Combat System (CS) Support System. The team operates as part of the broader engineering team supporting upgrades to the in-service Hobart Class DDG RAN ships. Operating in a collaborative environment with both the customer (CoA) and internally with DDG engineering teams to provide leadership and oversight of the synthesis & maturation of the DDG CS Support System as defined by the DDG CS Support System interface and specification documentation.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Leadership of the team carrying out design and implementation tasks
- Scope bounding using appropriate engineering techniques, derivation, analysis & allocation of requirements and definition products,
- Overseeing conduct trade studies where required and providing engineering estimates to implement the required elements of the DDG Support System under the CSI-IPT (Combat System Integrator - Integrated Project Team)
- Control Account Manager (CAM) activities for all DDG CS Support System tasking
- Providing input to future tasking statement preparations for Support System activities
- Providing an advanced level of advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the Program with respect to Support System activities

About YOU
- Extensive experience across the systems engineering lifecycle with a strong ILS support system focus, including: requirements definition and analysis methods; test and integration of sustainment datasets; development/management of ILS engineering deliverables.
- Extensive experience in risk identification & mitigation practices, including seeking opportunities for continuous business improvement
- Strong communication skills, including technical writing and the ability to develop/publish high-quality artefacts
- Significant experience working with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders and partnering organisations to achieve common goals
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
