**How will I help?**

This role is part of the Business Improvement and Terminal Quality capability stream (BITQ), which is a key component of the Merchant Payments Capability Delivery Model and executes the Merchant Payments strategy against four streams - Product Transformation, Service Transformation, Product and Service Enhancements, Compliance. Merchant Payments deliver initiatives across the Westpac and St George Brands (Bank of Melbourne, Bank of SA and St George) and all segments - SME, Commercial, Transactional and Institutional.

**What you will do**
- Review functional design specifications and release notes to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
- Liaise with Product Owners to ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Work closely with the software development team (Vendors) to ensure timely software delivery, fixes and retests
- Test data preparation - creation / maintenance of test data
- Design and write test scenarios and test scripts for testing projects/enhancements and assist in writing test plans for significant software upgrades
- Liaise with business users, to ensure that planned testing meets their requirements / specifications
- Adhere to and promote the groups methodologies, tools and standards Execute and evaluate test cases and report test results
- Identify any potential quality issues or defects as per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
- Record test results in required register
- Track progress of allocated Test Cases to ensure deadlines are met
- Participate in deployment and implementation activities
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure required objectives are met
- Liaise with stakeholders (Product Team)
- Establish productive working relationships with business and strategic partner colleagues in order to seek the best of breed on inputs across day to day duties
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, vendors and partners to foster a culture of relentless focus on quality of product and continuous improvement
- Establish self as a Subject Matter Expert within the team and a contact point for advice and consultation

**What do I need?**
- Previous Cards or Merchant Acquiring experience including EMV
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge within the Payments sector including knowledge of AS2805 and/or ISO8583
- 5+ years relevant experience in systems and product testing
- Experience in functional, user acceptance and regression testing
- Ability to develop test suites to automate REST API testing
- Experience with popular REST API service testing tools
- Experience in REST API test automation
- Ability to analyse complex messaging to ensure it meets the required specification
- Excellent proficiency in translating and analysing data
- Experience logging and tracking defects using tracking tools such as JIRA
- Experience creating documents using Confluence
- Experience working in an AGILE delivery method
