**About the role**

At Catholic Care Broken Bay, we are currently seeking an experienced Leader to manage our Child, Youth and Family team. The role will manage Targeted Early Intervention and other specialist Child and Youth programs to clients residing in the Northern Sydney area. The role will provide evidenced based family support casework interventions. Our services, align with CatholicCare strategic directions to serve community and promote social justice and stronger communities. This role is a one of the senior operational roles in the team and will have people management and leadership accountabilities whilst supporting the team to work together to achieve the required strategic outcomes.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based across flexible locations in the Northern Sydney area, our sites are in Waitara, Artarmon and Brookvale. Key requirements of the role include reporting to the General Manager Homelessness and Families, and direct supervisory responsibilities to 2 Specialist Leads positions and broader oversight of a team of 15 casework professionals. As part of the role, you will have the opportunity to manage key internal and external compliances and operational reporting as well as strategic Community contributions and networking across Northern Sydney.

**Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the below**:

- Lead by example and manage the day-to-day operations within a multidisciplinary team whilst also providing coaching, supervision and development as required.
- Direct leadership and practice reform for a broad team, overseeing the delivery of 4 Government funded contracts.
- Work with the General Manager to inform and design service delivery which is innovative and responsive to community trends and needs.
- Ensure practice modalities align with trauma informed strength-based practices, focusing evidenced base assessment and outcome needs of families.
- Ensuring practice frameworks foster child and family voice in intervention and goal planning, and are trauma, evidence and outcome focused.
- Contribute to an environment which is risk responsive for clients, staff and community, reporting and addressing all forms of risks for clients, staff and the organisation.
- Achieve the financial objectives of each contract/program by assisting with budgeting forecasting and monthly reviewing of profit and loss.
- Meet contractual objectives of each program by delivering services through developed program standards with the focus on client experience.
- Actively seek, identify, prepare, and instigate opportunities for new business and growth areas for CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay including identifying resourcing to respond to tendering opportunities.

**To be successful in this role you, you will have**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area (e.g: Social Work, Welfare, Psychology, Health etc.) preferred or extensive experience in a similar role.
- Significant experience or extensive knowledge in all areas of family work, including sound knowledge of Child Protection intervention and legislations.
- Extensive experience in working with complex clients experiencing high risk child protection and vulnerabilities.
- Extensive experience in leading of multidisciplinary teams, with a strong focus to build effective, collaborative and engaged team.
- Demonstrated networking and advocacy skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated business acumen, including budgeting and financial management experience, as well as ability to grow new business programs/initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and access to an insured vehicle.
