**About the role**

As part of the Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) team at CatholicCare, you will directly contribute towards the overall strategic direction of the organisation by increasing family, child and youth safety and wellbeing.

In this role you will provide intensive case management to families in the Northern Sydney area. The role will include addressing child protection concerns through building client capabilities, increasing safety and promoting change through an empowerment client centred model. We provide trauma informed, strength-based casework interventions to families with children and young people aged 0-18 years.

This is a permanent, part-time position (4 days per week) based in Waitara and covers families who live in Northern Sydney, including the Northern Beaches. CatholicCare is open to flexible working arrangements that meet the needs of the program.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Address child protection worries identified by Department of Community Services (DCJ) in referrals to IFP.
- Case plans that address DCJ worries that ensures the safety and wellbeing for all members of the household.
- Accurate and timely case notes and record keeping.
- Provide trauma informed and evidence-based practice to child and family interventions.
- Intensive case management for 6-9 months.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Case Management working with Families.
- Understanding of the NSW Human Services Outcomes Framework.
- Knowledge of evidenced based parenting programs.
- Ability to demonstrate networking and advocacy skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to provide strong and respectful advocacy in situations of high pressure and competing agendas.
- Ability to manage a crisis or safety situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
