This role is a full time permanent role for an ambitious individual to join the team as a Financial Crime Risk Manager (FCRM) at our Parramatta Centre.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- The FCR function is to perform Due Diligence Reviews in accordance with Wealth and Personal Banking Policy and Procedure.
- The scope of FCR are both Individual and Non-Individual risk rated customers holding accounts and/or relationships with the Bank
- FCR provide assurance that HSBC is in line with the “Know Your Customer” (KYC) policy and all required information is held and kept up to date by the Bank.
- The FCR function should ensure that sales are conducted and documented in line with HSBC AML/Sanctions policies and procedures as well as being compliant with respect to both local and external regulators, current legislation, Compliance and Departmental procedures
- The Manager, FCR will be part of the Middle Office function by leading, developing and managing the Analysts as well as providing support to Senior Manager, FCR and Business Head.
- This role reports into the Senior Manager, FCR and will also perform a number of tasks related to the overall responsibilities across the wider WPB CCO team.
- The role holder is responsible for ensuring that all the relevant checks are carried out accurately and according to the process designed under guidance and supervision from the Management Team. This will include direct reports with direct People Leader responsibilities.
- Success in this role will be dependent on the role holder’s ability to follow the process and identify any issues related to the FCR function and execution of the tasks within scope.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years working experience within the banking industry in a Manager/People Leader capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Know Your Customer (KYC) and all AML/Sanctions Policies.
- Good understanding of Global requirements including Regulatory and Local Compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High degree of credibility and integrity
- Proficiency in MS office and extensive web search engines.
- Strong attention to detail skills.
