**How will I help?**

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Risk Analyst to join our Financial Crime team. In this role, you will play a key part in safeguarding our organization by identifying and mitigating financial crime risks. You will respond to queries promptly, maintain comprehensive audit logs, and manage complaints and escalations with a strong customer-centric approach.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct timely assessments and investigations of AML/CTF/Sanctions events, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal timeframes
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes
- Handle customer complaints and escalations with empathy and professionalism, ensuring a positive customer experience
- Escalate high-risk customers in accordance with the AML Operations Agreement
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements within your jurisdictionAct as a point of reference for internal stakeholders, promoting awareness and adherence to Westpac’s compliance standards.

This is a full-time role offering 38 hours per week. Our operational hours are between 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Hybrid work arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office.

**What do I need?**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues and influence outcomes
- A proactive mindset with the ability to drive change and adapt to evolving policies and procedures
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to investigate complex matters and make sound, timely decisions
- A solid understanding of legislative and policy compliance requirements
- Strong relationship management skills to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersA background in Banking and Financial Services is advantageous, but not essential
