NSW Ambulance is seeking an Associate Director of Marketing & Communications to lead all strategic communication plans, overseeing the media presence of NSW Ambulance. This person will be crucial to upholding and elevating the brand image of the organisation, as well as the capability of the marketing workforce.

Leading a team of 6 direct reports, the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications will establish a clear strategy to enhance the engagement and brand image of the NSW Ambulance. Reporting to the Chief Audit Executive, the Associate Director will:

- Drive new long-term strategic marketing and communications plans including campaign development, stakeholder engagement, corporate branding, sponsorship, merchandising and donation strategy, protocol matters, community education the intranet, internet, publications and official event activity.
- Protect the NSW Ambulance brand, proactively responding to trends, issues and concerns.
- Represent the organisation on high-level committees and at inter-agency meetings.
- Establish and maintain close relationships with senior and Executive leaders, as well as external stakeholders in media and agencies.
- Provide professional leadership and guidance to staff, foster their on-going development and ensure they have the knowledge, skills and support to achieve their goals.

**About You**

For this appointment, we are seeking an experienced marketing manager who is passionate about elevating and revitalising the brand image of a vital health service. Utilising your marketing expertise, you will bring creativity and innovation, inspiring your team with high energy and a clear vision for NSW Ambulance’s image.

In addition, you will have:

- Extensive experience at a senior level as a communications or marketing professional.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of a well-known and respected brand.
- An understanding of innovative communication and marketing activities to drive engagement and build on brand awareness.
- Demonstrated skills in collaboration as well as people management, including managing and motivating a team to meet key milestones and deliverables.
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, media, public relations or journalism or equivalent experience.
- An understanding and appreciation of NSW Ambulance’s role within the community.

**COVID-19 Information**

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.

**Eligibility List**

Should an eligibility list be created, it can be used to fill permanent, temporary and short-term vacancies that may become available over the next 18 months. The eligibility list can also be used to fill other positions, at the same, or other locations, that are at the same grade and substantially the same capability level.
