Our client Blue Dog Training is the leading and award winning training provider for Construction and Engineering apprentices in Queensland.

They are seeking to add another Engineering Trades Trainer to their established and very successful team of trainers. All trainers are experienced tradespeople who now have a passion for helping employers pass these skills on to the next generation**.**

This role is responsible for managing and coordinating apprentices throughout their training process - from initial sign up to final completion of their apprenticeship, including:

- Deliver training, coaching and mentoring.
- Explain processes, demonstrate website and database functionality and answer questions.
- Develop rapport with apprentices and employers through constant and effective communication.
- Support and motivate apprentices to ensure progress is being achieved.
- Provide onsite training and practical assessment (there will be some travel for which a vehicle will be provided or vehicle allowance paid)
- Plan assessment activities and assess units of competency, incorporating reasonable adjustment strategies as required.
- Maintain efficient and effective record keeping to meet all audit requirements, and organisational policies and procedures.
- Provide input to help maintain and advance resource material to ensure the most up to date training methods.

**To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate**:

- Qualified and experienced in Diesel Fitting and ideally fitting and turning
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (is an advantage but not essential)
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children) or eligibility to apply
- Current Drivers Licence
- Well developed communication skills (verbal and written)
- Previous experience in an aligned role is preferred
- Basic computer skills

This is a full-time permanent role and the salary will be negotiated based on skills and experience within the field. There will be a company car for work and personal use as well as a phone and a laptop. Extensive training and support is provided.
