**Your new company**
Join a people focused Federal Government Department located in Canberra City. Your role will be responsible for preparing project timelines in Microsoft project for request for tenders to establish new service and grant related contracts. 6-12-month contract in team-based role working on complex tenders and be responsible for managing timelines through Microsoft project.
**Your new role**
You have an interest in data-based decision-making and ensuring team compliance. You will be responsible for preparing timelines and completing procurement milestones.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain procurement project timelines
- Work with stakeholders across the branch to identify the progress of milestones
- Identify key issues preventing progress against the timelines
- Escalate key issues in the procurement timeline to the Director
- Liaise with program areas to ensure they are informed of project status and to gather key intelligence
- Draft and monitor/update risk management plans
- Prepare reports for the Senior Executive on project status
- Assure the integrity of the project management data
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Well-developed skills in Microsoft Project (essential)
- Demonstrated procurement understanding
- Ability to be in the office 5 days per week during peak periods
- Baseline clearance (essential)
**What you'll get in return**
This is an hourly rate contract role for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility for extension.
