We are currently seeking an Experience Design and Drafting Manager, this leadership role has you responsible for supervising and planning the activities of our group of design and drafting engineers, you will liaise with the respective engineering departments and assist with preparing and delivering engineering drawings and documentation. In addition, you will manage our document control process to ensure customers receive our document transmittals on time and in full.

With process responsibility, the Drafting Manager will be responsible for the timely delivery of drawings and ensure the drawings are in accordance with relevant local standards, statutory requirements, client technical specifications, and industry best practices.

Reporting to our Project Director, and taking inputs from Engineering, Sales, Aftersales, and our Technology team, this is a role that interacts across the organization and offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next leadership step.

**Your main responsibilities are**:

- Planning and assigning work considering our resource capacities and forecast.
- On time delivery of project drawings and document transmittals.
- Developing/updating drafting procedures and working with management to secure support for significant systems improvements.
- Checking all drafting conforms to ISO9001, specifications, and best practice
- Developing and preparing drawings from initial ideas, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other relevant data
- Develop, standardise, and maintain CAD standards (templates and administrative software maintenance)
- Manage multiple design projects at various lifecycle stages to meet deliverables.
- Prepare relevant engineering and project documentation.
- Ensuring effective file management of product and project drawing packages
- Maintain an effective document management process for project documents and transmittals to the customer.
- Creating and maintaining standard part libraries of CAD models and engineering drawings
- Providing technical design and CAD support to project engineers, designers, drafters, and project managers
- Mentoring and training junior drafters
- Ensure staff are well trained and developed with personal plans.
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship or a valid visa for working in Australia.
- A Degree or Diploma in relevant Engineering, Design or Drafting is preferred.
- 5+ years Design or Drafting work experience in an engineering environment
- High proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD packages preferably AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Previous leadership experience highly regarded
- Following Experiences seen as advantageous
- Developing and maintaining procedures
- EPDM or similar
- Document Control software and management
