**Description**:
The Opportunity

Due to the continual growth of the Catholic Diocese the Human Resources Department are seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to join their Team. This is a Permanent Full-Time position and you will be based at our Newcastle West Office.

About the Role

The Catholic Diocese of Maitland Newcastle (CDMN) is currently undertaking a change programme and system implementation, to revolutionalise Talent Management across the Diocese. This involves all of the CDMN agencies and supports both our employee and volunteer workforce.
As part of this programme of work, a new Learning Management System is being implemented, which provides a technical solution to support Learning and Development across the Diocese.

**Key Accountabilites**:

- Lead development and implementation of Learning Strategy, Delivery Model, Framework and Systems
- Support the development and delivery of Learning and Development Programs
- Imbed Quality Learning Requirements and Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain strong Stakeholder Relationships
- Provide exceptional Customer Service & insightful Data and Analytics

**Skills and Experiences**:
Experience/ Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing learning and development strategies, delivery models and frameworks
- Experience in developing and implementing enterprise training matrices in complex environments
- Strong communication skills, including an ability to provide effective and appropriate advice and information to a variety of people and to use discretion with confidential information
- Ability to work in a strategic manner, build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and engage in a consultative manner
- Proven ability to build learning frameworks and learning pathways from start to finish
- Understanding of instructional design concepts and adult learning principles.

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or other related area and 5 years experience in the development and delivery of learning and development interventions in a diverse HR environment
- Current Drivers License (Desirable)
